Right now there are a lot of people that need our help. I just gave $10 by texting the Red Cross. it was easy. If we all pledge $10 we can definitely help others in need

Send a $10 Donation by Texting ‘Haiti’ to 90999. You will receive a confirmation text to confirm you want to donate the money.

Substitute Teaching: Tips for getting asked back

I am all about public relations when it comes to my substitute teaching assignment. I want to please the students, administration and the absent teacher. How can you do all that in one tightly wrapped package?

First Blog

Hello everyone. This is my first time on this site. I'm currently contemplating teaching as a second career and want to try substitute teaching to see how I like it. I'd like to teach in a economically disadvantaged school and I am thinking of applying to Teach for America. I think the disparity in educational opportunities in our country is an enormous injustice. If anyone has any experience with the Teach for America program please let me know your thoughts about it.
